is a Project Manager ?
The Project Manager is responsible for
the overall planning, control and co-ordination of the project from inception
to final completion, ensuring that the client’s requirements of
time and quality standards are met at all times.

Why do I need a Project Manager?
The Project Manager is your single point
of contact he is specially trained to manage the various priorities of
the individual parties involved in the project . It is important that
these priorities are managed to the benefit of the client including language
barriers and culture differences.
Can I use any Project Manager
The difference to look for in choosing
your Project Manager and any other Manager ( apart from a list of qualifications)
is that a Project Manager will have a start and end date as his constraints.
A qualified Project Manager will be aware of the logistical problems involved
in your construction project and is able to apply his knowledge and training
to the financial and planning stages of the project. He will have the
necessary tools, and management expertise to control and lead the construction
team throughout the lifespan of the project.
It is through is experience and qualifications
he is able to advise on such matters as,
- Best procurement options, i.e. traditional build, design
& build, construction management & management construction.
- Provide guidance on contractuall matters/form of contract.
- Manage the tender process to ensure minimum post contract
risks for the client.
- Appoint the various Consultants.
- Provide cost analysis advice.
- Advice on building approvals etc.
